The CatStrand
In October 2007, Princess Anne opened the CatStrand, an award winning arts and community centre in the heart of the Glenkens. Formerly New Galloway Primary School, the building underwent a major transformation and is now one of Scotland's most exciting performance and meeting venues.
Open all year round, the CatStrand offers an impressive variety of music, art exhibitions, exercise and computer classes, cinema and much more. The aim is to provide something for everyone, including a cafe, all under one roof.
